DAY 2: SAIGON & CU CHI TUNNELS
Witness daily life along the banks of the Saigon River, as you travel to the tunnels of Cu Chi by speed boat. Gain a greater understanding of the hardships endured during the war on a guided tour of the historic tunnels. In the afternoon, discover the modern-day city of Ho Chi Minh on a Vespa. Drive past the must-see attractions before venturing to the backstreets to see the sights most visitors never hear about.

DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA
Travel south to My Tho in the lush Mekong Delta, where much of Vietnam’s food is produced. Explore scenic waterways and islands as you cruise along, stopping to visit orchards to sample fresh local produce. Gain inside knowledge of local life with a memorable visit to a family home, and share tea, rice wine and stories. Return by road to Saigon in the mid-afternoon.

DAY 4: DANANG
Fly from Saigon to Danang, home to long stretches of white sandy beaches and the gateway to historic Hoi An.

DAY 5: HOI AN
Today you will be guided on a walking tour through the largely preserved UNESCO world heritage listed old town of Hoi An, that was once Vietnam’s most active trading centre. Wander the enchanting streets before visiting a traditional ancient house, the Hoi An Museum, a Chinese Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge.

DAY 6: HOI AN
Enjoy a bike ride to the beautiful rural areas on the outskirts of Hoi An. Cycle past traditional wooden boat yards, local villages and a family-run rice wine refinery before enjoying a delicious lunch in the gardens of a local family house.

DAY 7: HANOI
Fly from Danang to the captivating capital, Hanoi, and check-in to your hotel located within the French Quarter.

DAY 8: HANOI
Take a guided walk of Hanoi’s lively Old Quarter. Visit compelling cultural sites including the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology.

DAY 9: HALONG BAY
Journey to Halong Bay, then board your overnight boat to cruise amongst idyllic islands. Enjoy a seafood lunch on-board and explore some of the bay’s inlets.

Today, rise early to make the most of Halong Bay’s stunning scenery. After breakfast, continue your exploration and discover what makes this area so unique. This afternoon travel back to Hanoi to further explore at your leisure.

On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure transfer.
